Rebecca Leigh Lambert
Rebecca Leigh Lambert, 39, of Strengthford passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson. She was born Monday, Sept. 10, 1984, in Laurel.
The funeral was Sunday at 3 p.m. at Ellisville Funeral Home in Ellisville. Burial was in Strengthford Baptist Church cemetery in Laurel. Brother Bobby Boutwell and Brother Ken Walters officiated. Ellisville Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
Rebecca attended the University of Southern Mississippi to obtain her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Afterward, she attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., toobtain her Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis on nutrition. After obtaining her master’s degree, she held various positions at the Metropolitan YMCAs of Mississippi from 2022-23, including health intervention specialist, membership coordinator, healthy heart ambassador and OD2A and wellness program assistant. From there, she worked as a community health worker for the Mississippi State Department of Health in 2023. Hobbies that Rebecca enjoyed werespending time with family, speaking to individuals about nutrition and various health topics, exercising and performing activities in nature, such as running, riding bikes, playing tennis and playing disc golf.
Rebecca was a sweet and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and niece who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband of five years Patrick Lambert; son Bryson Isaiah Lambert; parents Martin and Nancy Laura Patterson Busby; brother and sister-in-love Jason and Dana Busby; nephews Alex Busby and Logan Busby; nieces Bella Busby and Laura Busby; in-laws Connie and Johnny Lambert; and a host of cousins.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
