Any brides-to-be looking for dressing inspiration would be well advised to check out last night's Golden Globes red carpet. From ethereal blush gowns to structured cream frocks and corseted lace dresses, the most prominent trend at the glitzy award show centred around wedding-appropriate fashion.
First up was Elizabeth Olsen, who wore a beautiful design by Vivienne Westwood, featuring panels of white lace, and the designer's trademark corset. The dress even featured a bridal-appropriate train – all she was missing was a veil.

Also choosing very wedding-appropriate looks were Elle Fanning and Greta Lee, who both wore silky cream numbers. Fanning's was a vintage Balmain design featuring a delicate bow, while Lee wore a custom Loewe dress in billowing fabric.

On the more embellished end of the bridal scale, we saw Emma Stone and Emily Blunt both wear bejewelled dresses that were befitting a glitzy bride. Stone's was a nude Louis Vuitton dress with a central slit, while Blunt's Alexander McQueen gown featured a white tulle fishtail detail.

Natalie Portman's sequin-covered Dior ballgown was another great point of inspiration for a bride who wants something in a traditional princess-like shape, as was Gillian Anderson's strapless Gabriela Hearst design.

Meanwhile, we loved Riley Keough's lacy Chanel dress and Natasha Lyonne's Schiaparelli creation, for something a little out of the ordinary.

But, perhaps our favourite bridal-inspired look of the night came courtesy of Hunter Schafer who wore a blush pink Prada dress with dramatic sheer material that trailed behind her. Just imagine that coming down the aisle.
And, if we needed any further proof that brides were the biggest inspiration on the carpet last night, let us point to the most talked-about accessory of the 2024 Golden Globes, Rosamund Pike's dramatic veil.
